Cell Phone Service (Data test) east Whittier, La Cuarta St.

Catalina Ave & La Cuarta St user averages

Here the clear winner is T-Mobile

Catalina Ave & La Cuarta St cell towers (AT&T only)

This does make a big difference, especially with a 5G connection. I believe faster speeds here could be seen if forced to switch down to 4G.

Enramada Ave & La Cuarta St user averages

Enramada Ave & La Cuarta St towers (AT&T only)

Same cell tower as the first.

Enramada Ave & La Cuarta St speed test (AT&T only)

Because the user averages and proximity of the cell towers (or lack there of) were so close between the two test locations, I only did one Speed Test as the differences would have been negligible either way.

4.69 Mbps down is generally considered slow by modern standards, suitable only for basic tasks like web browsing, email, and streaming low-definition video. Not considered sufficient for more than 1 device, and would struggle with high-definition (HD) streaming, large file downloads, or multiple concurrent users.

Conclusion

This area (La Cuarta St, between Enramada Ave and Catalina Ave) cell service less than stellar.

Data for 2 areas sampled. Differences between the two "areas", insignificant.

Of the 3 Cell Service Providers, all three 5G connections, T-Mobile seems to be the only viable choice.

*All tests done with same 5G tower. The distance from this single tower less than ideal for 5G as it stretches the effective distance.

4G on the other hand would likely net far better results as 4G travels further and penetrates obstacles better.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!
